Congregational Church cirus 1999
The Congregational Church was the first church established in Waynoka after the opening of the Cherokee Outlet in 1893. The white structure shown in the photograph was erected in 1926. The stained glass windows are the work of Jacoby Art Glass, St. Louis, Missouri. The large window is dedicated to Samuel Pearson and Fannie Pearson. Mr. Pearson was the minister of the church. Three side windows are dedicated to Irene E. Boice, Hannah R. Flora, and John Hink and Margaret Hink. A round window above the pulpit depicts an open Bible.

The congregation disbanded in 1989, and gave their church building and parsonage to the City of Waynoka for the use of the Waynoka Historical Society. The Society has sponsored events at the church, and has utilized the basement and classrooms for museum exhibits. It no longer serves as a museum. The Society would like to restore the interior as a small auditorium for the community.

The church is located at 300 Cecil Street across from the funeral home.
